letter from the editors
As emerging fields of study and practice, interior architecture and spatial design offer a platform that shifts the way we conceive, perceive, and experience our built environment. The International Journal of Interior Architecture + Spatial Design serves to document and disseminate the new collaborations, experimental design processes, and innovative research practices that are defining this emerging discipline.
As a publication of the Advanced Spatial Design (ASD) research group, we aim to provide a globally-networked, leading source of experimental design, emergent technology, and advanced understandings of spatial design. The journal will feature avant-garde ideas–supported by state-of-the-art research–that connect and blend various design disciplines.
With great pleasure, we are delighted to launch the International Journal of Interior Architecture + Spatial Design (ii). Over the course of the next year, ii will publish two richly illustrated print journals, as well as feature several articles online. We cordially invite you to join us in this collaboration by submitting work to one of our current or future calls.
Meg Jackson + Jonathon Anderson
